BANCard Solutions provides much more than card credit processing; our goal is to be a resource to help clients grow their businesses and enhance their bottom lines. Our merchants are also colleagues and friends, so our focus is on establishing and maintaining relationships that provide mutual benefit.
Dave Carreon, President, Sales/Service
After beginning his career in the financial services and law enforcement fields, Dave found his niche in the credit card processing industry in 1990. He gained experience with Brown Forman Enterprises before choosing to build his own business in 2001, founding BANCard Solutions with the goal of providing value-added credit card processing services based on integrity, relationships and trust.
When Dave wears his president hat, he focuses on training, leading and motivating employees and salespeople as well as delegating responsibilities to allow team members to realize their potential for business and personal growth. As a sales and service representative, he develops strong relationships with current and prospective merchants, providing personal service on demand.
Dave credits his parents with imparting the importance of work ethics, values, morals and success on him and his five siblings, and his desire to help others began at an early age. One of his first jobs was delivering newspapers, and he always asked customers if they needed anything done at their homes, so he ended up mowing lawns, changing oil and even babysitting. When he was a bit older, Dave got his first management experience at VON’s Grocery Company, where he worked while going to college.
Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from National University and accepted a position as a financial services professional, selling mutual funds, life insurance, and annuities. He subsequently became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for San Diego County, completed the Sheriff’s Academy and was assigned to patrol, where he had a brush with fame during a brief appearance on “COPS.”
Dave is BANCard Solutions’ member representative in the California Restaurant Association, San Diego Hotel Motel Association, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Bookkeepers Network of San Diego, and La Jolla Town Council. He enjoys spending time with his son, cooking and entertaining, biking, and snow skiing, and he’s an Advanced Open Water Diver working toward becoming a Dive Master. Let Dave know if you’d like to join him in the water sometime!
Dante Pamintuan, Sales Representative
A decorated Marine veteran, Dante has always had a personal philosophy of doing what’s best for other people. He worked in transportation management and sales before starting his own promotional products business and also selling motorcycles and personal watercraft. He joined the BANCard Solutions team in 2005 after selling President Dave Carreon a pair of SeaDoos.
Dante enjoys having the opportunity to be out and about in beautiful San Diego to meet with clients and develop strong relationships while helping them enhance their success. He loves learning about merchants’ business goals and aspirations, so he can add value through BANCard Solutions’ services as well as his other local contacts.
Dante graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, after which he served five years in the Marine Corps as a Logistics Officer, earning a Navy Achievement Medal for successfully overseeing a weeklong ship-to-shore amphibious landing and operation for 1,200 Marines just off Camp Pendleton. He worked as a fleet and transportation manager for the Perrier/Nestle Group in Los Angeles and Calistoga before coming home to San Diego in 1994 with a renewed focus on business.
Rex Bundle, the owner of AADCO Advertising, became Dante’s mentor in the fine art of salesmanship. After a few years with him and in another sales management position at Mitchell International, Dante embarked on his first entrepreneurial venture, so by the time he joined BANCard Solutions, he’d gained a variety of experience that adds to the value he brings to credit card processing customers.
Dante is an active member of LeTip International, a networking organization facilitating his ability to enhance his business and grow his network of resources. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking with his wife, playing the ukulele and drums, gardening, and raising his two sons.
Shirley Cain, Office Administrator
The friendly voice you hear when you call BANCard Solutions belongs to Shirley Cain, a 16-year veteran of the credit card industry who has the experience and expertise to handle a variety of merchant-related issues. Since 2001, she’s been the “go-to” person for merchants, handling everything from account setup and training to researching issues like missing or questionable deposits. She always assists merchants with a smile and “How can I help you?”
Shirley’s customer service responsibilities include teaching merchants how to refund transactions, providing account updates, tracking deposits, changing the time and date on terminals, and helping them balance their bank accounts. She also responds to all e-mails within 24 hours and performs typical office administrator duties, including vendor A/P, shipping, QuickBooks bank statement reconciliation, and office supply and equipment inventory.
Shirley graduated from Santa Barbara Business College, earning an administrative assistant degree with an emphasis on accounting, while also raising her two daughters as a single mom…something quite rare at the time. Her girls are now in their 40s, and they’ve given Shirley three grandchildren, 19, 18 and 14.
Shirley has served the community by volunteering for Big Animals for Little Kids, and she now spends a great deal of time taking care of her younger sister, who is disabled. When she’s not serving the needs of others, Shirley enjoys cooking, sewing, oil painting and deep-sea fishing.
